As a hairdresser, my clients are always asking have always asking "how often I should cut my hair?". It seems like such a simple question, but the answer isn't straightforward.

Some experts say that you should trim your hair every six to eight weeks, while others suggest getting a trim every three to four months - likewise I have also heard that cutting your hair more often can help it grow faster and healthier; whereas others argue that only trimming it when necessary is best for maintaining length and thickness!

I know - It's enough to make your head spin!

After giving it some thought and experimentation, I have come to the realization that getting your cutting schedule right really depends on individual hair type and lifestyle. For some people, regular trims are necessary to keep split ends at bay and maintain a polished look. For others, less frequent cuts may be sufficient to keep their hair healthy and looking its best.

Ultimately, I have learned that the key to finding the perfect cutting schedule is to listen to your hair and pay attention to its needs. If you notice that your ends are looking dry and frayed, it's time for a trim. If your hair seems healthy and happy, you can wait a little longer before heading to the salon.

So, while there may not be a one-size-fits-all answer to the question of how often to cut your hair, a consultation with me will answer alot of them and if you have anything more to ask about your own hair, please feel free to use the contact form provided, facebook or call the salon direct and I'll try to answer them.

Hope it helps and thanks for reading guys,

L
